Geocache Description:

A traditional Geocache located around the shore line of Chidham, near Cobnor Point.

Chidham seems to be an area missed by many along the south coast, which is a shame since it offers an area of tranquility rarely found. The path around the island does get fairly well used by locals, but it is not as popular as the nearby Bosham walks.

The cache requires a two kilometre walk around the coastal path, there is no shortcut, so be prepared for a hike. The parking spot suggested allows access to the coast, via a footpath, but it does get very muddy during the winter months.

The summer months offer the opportunity to extend the walk and stroll around the whole island. Inspired by the peaceful beaches near Cobham point, as this is the nearest we've found to a desert island along this area of the coast.

Stout footwear recommended. Watch for high tides if coming from the alternative direction or if doing the circular walk. Recommended for Dog owners!!
