I've always liked this object and wanted to share it by placing a cache here. It is a 35mm size and is hidden near the object. No need to climb the fencing or leave the pavement. Please be very stealthy and replace as found. Knowing the Ferry schedule might come in handy...
Hopefully you know what time it is when you leave!
"At the Ferry Terminal in Vallejo is a large
equatorial dial, made of aluminum, on a
handsome granite base. The dial is
approximately five feet across, and the gnomon
represents a profile of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Dedicated in 1988, the dial was presented by the
city of Akashi, Japan, in celebration of the
twentieth anniversary of the sister city relationship
with the city of Vallejo. A plaque
converts the time in Vallejo (in Pacific Standard
Time and Daylight Saving Time) to the time in
Akashi."
