Geocache Description:

Classic Park and Grab - you can park within 10 feet of the cache, but you should use the parking area instead and walk across the street. Smooth terrain and handicap accessible.

North Carolina Central Area Cache Loggers Enterprise (NC-CACKLE) is a loosely formed group of cachers dedicated to the betterment of Geocaching in the Sanford/Lee County and surrounding areas.

Every time I drive by this place, the parking area and especially the graveyard, I feel really sad. This place and those people, with very few obvious exceptions have been forgotten.
I know many people feel cemetery caches are disrespectful, but this cache was placed for the opposite reason - trying to pay respect for those that have been forgotten.
I'm not from this area and don't know the history of the church or the people around here, so the plaque at the parking area tells you as much as I know. I'll query locals and if I find more info I'll post it here.
Take a few minutes while you are here, take in some of the OLD history that is engraved into the headstones, and offer a prayer/thought/moment for those that were placed in love, but later forgotten...

I shouldn't have to say it, but this is NOT a difficult hide - don't tear or dig anything up!
The cache is about the location and not the hide - PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL!!!
