Geocache Description:

This is a large 50mm ammo container located just off of the Wappinger Creek Greenway Trail.

This cache was started with lots of cool goodies and 4 trackables, 3 coins and 1 TB. Best parking is at
N41 35.279 W73 56.647. You can start up the Greenway Trail here and follow your GPS. You can also go out to the road, toward the train station and take a left to another trail head at
N41 35.160 W73 56.765. You may also be able to park here, but be careful, best bet is the parking co-ords above.

You will go near a very cool old spot...Reese Sanctuary Cemetery: This cemetery is a pre-civil war cemetery. The man who donated this land was John Drake, Jr. (#86); he was an elder of the church of the Wappinger Creek Presbyterian Congregation and a Justice of the Peace. The church was organized about 1809 and on June 26 of that year the trustees took title to the land on the hill. The church that was once here was moved several times and is now moved permanently. One of the four trustees was George Washington Clinton, son of George Clinton, Governor of New York and Vice President of the United States. George Washington Clinton was later buried here (#65). Written by BSA Troop 2609.
