This should be an easy park and grab.
Founded in 1904, Alfred was never incorporated. In the prairie pothole region of North Dakota, this community is a hot bed for duck and goose hunting. Deer are also plentiful as are various kinds of waterfowl.
There is an artesian spring that was used by the railroad in the steam engine days. At its peak it had four gas stations, four churches, two grocery stores, a livery stable, and several bars.
It is not a ghost town, but nearly.
For FTF, there is an Alfred centennial cap.
