Since our first official event in 2003 we have each year had our anniversary event in December as a Christmas party. This year we are doing it a little different, moving the event past most of the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
The group was first embodied in 2003 simply to bring local geocachers together for a fun social gathering. That is still our tradition and there is never any obligation, dues, or fees to attend our events and everyone is welcome.
This year's event will be held in the clubhouse at Greenway Farms, a very nice facility that will provide for a warm atmosphere regardless of what the weather may be outside. We will be meeting inside at 5:30 PM and have the building until 7:30 PM, possibly longer.
Last year the Chili Potluck turned out so well why don't we do that again! If you don't have a favorite recipe to bring then bring other fixin's like crackers, cheese, dessert, etc.
We would especially like to welcome the new geocachers who may be just joining into the adventure of Geocaching. You are certainly welcome to join us, and there will be folk available to answer any questions that you may have about Geocaching or the hardware/software involved.
Weather permitting there will be a geocaching demonstration at 4:00PM outside of the building. There are several caches nearby and more on the way.
