Geocache Description:

"This Geocache has been adopted by sutherlandgeocaching to be maintained as a part of the program to conserve caches placed up to December 2010"

The cache is located near Wattamolla Beach in the Royal National Park. It is possibly most well known for ‘The Rock’ which you can jump off if the tide is right. To find it you will probably need to wade and get wet, ( small kids may get soaked ) so bringing board shorts is advisable. On the weekend, especially in Summer, there can be lots ( and by lots, I mean millions ) of people around so stealth may be required. On a good day, it can be great to be lazy on the beach, swim in the ocean or in the lagoon. When the winter months come around, why not find this cache while doing the Otford to Bundeena walking track which is well known for its great ocean views. At the cache carpark, there is a kiosk, which is occasionally open, BBQ’s, for your BBQing convenience and also camping grounds. Bit of trivia – The movie “Trouble in paradise” starring Raquel Welsh was filmed on this very beach! Hope you enjoy this cache.
