This cache is located off of the American Trail bike path. You can pay to park in the park or you can walk a few tenths of a mile from the streets. Your choice.
As I was searching for another nearby cache I walked along this path and it reminded me of those scenes from back east where the trees are lined up on both sides creating an arch over head. The path below is covered in the seasonal leaves (if you are finding this in the spring or summer the leaves are more and likely not on the ground). It seemed a perfect spot to bring my fellow cachers.
As with all of the caches along the American River please be aware of the slithery ones, hazardous oak, and the rest of the natural bugaboos.
