Hier wurde bis 1958 großflächig Torf abgebaut. Heute führen Wanderwege durch das renaturierte Hochmoor.
An schönen Sonntag-Nachmittagen sieht man Muggel beim Verdauungsspaziergang. Ansonsten ist das hier ein ruhiger, schöner Ort zum Reiten, Wandern, Fahrrad fahren und Joggen.

[DE]: Der Weg führ euch durch das Wittmoor zum Schatz des Moorgeistes.
Der Cache ist in ca. einer halben Stunde zu erreichen. Wenn es geregnet hat, kann es matchig werden, dann ist festes Schuhwerk empfehlenswert. Zum Finden des Caches ist keine besondere Ausrüstung erforderlich. Es ist nicht notwendig, die Wege zu verlassen! Man kann auch das Rad / Mountainbike nutzen oder es nachts versuchen (uaaah gespenstisch).
Die Koordinaten führen euch in die Nähe des Caches. Hier findet ihr mehrere große Hinkelsteine. Nehmt den, der genau 123 kg wiegt ;-). In diesen Stein hat der Moorgeist eine vierstellige Zahl (=xyyz) und die Richtung eingemeißelt.
Den Cachestandort kannst Du über folgende Formel errechnen:
N 53° (35.303 + x.yyz )
E 10° (10.355 - x.yyz )
Der Schatz des Moorgeistes ist ein kleiner Behälter mit Log-Buch, Stift und Geisterbeute.
[EN]: The path leads you through the Wittmoor Preserve Area to the Moorgeist treasure.
The short trip will take approx half an hour. You do not need any special equipment and you should not leave the path. In wet weather conditions, the path will be muddy. To make it more interesting, you might use a (mountain-) bike, or try to find this cache by night (uaaah spooky).
The coordinates lead you close to the cache. There you'll find several big menhirs. Choose the one weighting exactly 123 kg ;-) and you'll find a 4-digit number (=xyyz) and the direction to go.
The exact coordination of the final stage can be calculated by using the following formula

The treasure of the Moorgeist is a little box, containing a log-book, a pen and the ghosts booties.
