Umsizi: Hi PM-5

This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please enable your cache by selecting enable on the right hand side of the listing , once the cache has been replaced/repaired, or checked that it is still in play.

The Geocache Maintenance Guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you plan on repairing this cache, but cannot get to it within 30 days, please log a note to the cache page (not email) to let the community know

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed at one of the most beautiful places in the Garden Route. The Knysna heads is full of danger, birdlife, caves and splendor. Enjoy the dangerous waters of the Knysna heads where many ships have previously perished.

Turn off towards the Knysna heads from the N2. Take the left turn at Coney Glen Drive and proceed up the hill past the viewpoint at the top of the Knysna hill. Proceed downhill on the other side to the Coney Glen picnic area. Take the walking trail through the picnic area.

The initial cache contents are:

- coins
- motorbike
- scented candle
- spoon
- marbles
- pebble
- butterfly
PLEASE CLOSE THE ZIPLOCK BAG SECURELY TO AVOID CACHE BECOMING WET.

Small note on cache maintenance: Please take note that although the owner of this cache stays some distance from the cache, special arrangements have been made to maintain the cache, should it be necessary. Fellow cachers, friends and family in the vicinity will do the honours. Cache placements in South Africa are minimal related to the number of cachers playing the treasure hunt game especially in the Garden Route area. We will be placing at least 30 caches during this December 2006 holiday season – so watch this space. This is number 9.
