The cache is located just off the R339 / Prince Alfred's Pass
between Uniondale and Knysna. Please be aware when approaching the
cache from Knysna as the turnoff from the N2 into R339 can be
really dangerous. Keep your doors locked.
Proceed through the Prince Alfred's Pass untill you reach S 33
56.299 E 23 09.468 (Velskoensdraai picnic spot). Take the pathway
as indicated.At the fork, take the right path for 100 meters. An
amazing 600+ years old yellow wood tree will welcome you to his
patch. The tree rises 46 meters into the air and is absolutely
amazing.
Small note on cache maintenance: Please take note
that although the owner of this cache stays some distance from the
cache, special arrangements have been made to maintain the cache,
should it be necessary. Fellow cachers, friends and family in the
vicinity will do the honours. Cache placements in South Africa are
minimal related to the number of cachers playing the treasure hunt
game especially in the Garden Route area. We will be placing at
least 30 caches during this December 2006 holiday season – so watch
