That dam cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Many drive across this landmark, but few stop and hike around. A short hike or easy bike ride from the road. Be sure to check out the area.

Alpine Lake and Kent Lake are two of the largest reservoirs in Marin.

This cache is great any time of year. By far the most spectacular is in winter and spring when lake is full and water is being released from the dam. After a good storm, the roar and cascading sheets of water are a sight to behold. In the heat of summer, the valley floor where this cache is located stays nice and cool.

GPSr reception can be funky in the valley, so the hint is ample.

The cache is an ammo box filled with toys and other things that Daisy might like to play with. Daisy wanted her pic in the cache, so it is taped onto the lid.

Please make sure the cache is well sealed and replaced as found, as this area stays quite damp.

Ambitious cachers (or those with bicycles) can also hit The Pipeline, Carson Falls, and/or the Mystery of Dutchman's Rock.
