Geocache Description:

footbridge

The Wilksboro Avenue footbridge is a little known architectural gem among the Pittsburgh Public Works inventory. Along with the 600 or so public steps that the city maintains, this structure too is meant to be used exclusively by pedestrians.</ p>

Reading on the Post Gazette a piece by columnist Brian O'Neill (visit link) Apparently someone once tried to drive a Volkswagen Beetle on it.

Good sources for more info on this bridge: PghBridges website: (visit link)

Book on Pittsburgh bridges: "The Bridges of Pittsburgh" by Bob Regan and Tim Fabian.

Cache is a metal box
