Geocache Description:

All caches in this series are located along the Caledon Trailway. Bring your own writing instrument.

South America
There are currently 12 countries within South America. South America is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and on the north and east by the Atlantic Ocean. North America and the Caribbean Sea lie to the northwest. South America has an area of approximately 17,840,000 square kilometres, or almost 3.5% of the Earth's surface.

The Caledon Trailway
The Trailway follows the path of an abandoned rail line that once linked Hamilton with Barrie. The Town of Caledon purchased 35 km of rail section in 1989 and it became the first officially designated portion of the Trans Canada Trail in 1995. The first Trans Canada Trail Pavilion in the country was built in Caledon East in 1996. This is a multi-use trail, ideal for walking, geocaching, cycling, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing in winter.
