Walk the Line V Multi-Cache

This cache is one of a series along the Downs Link long distance cycle path. This footpath and bridleway links the North Downs Way at St Martha’s Hill, Surrey with the South Downs Way near Steyning, West Sussex and on via the Coastal Link to Shoreham by-Sea. Most of the 37 mile trail follows former railway lines.

The cache is not hidden at the given co-ordinates. When you reach them, you will find a blue sign (you do NOT need to go through the school gate). On the sign is a picture of a pupil from days gone by. Take the date as ABCD.

Now proceed to N51 03.455 W00 22 B,(B-D)+C,A+C; here you will find yourself at the end of something fairly unexpected. How many letters are in this thing? Call this number E.
