Geocache Description:

This is an off-set cache.

This cache will take you past remnants of the old Wabash & Erie Canal. As you approach the cache location you can see clearly defined elements of the canal. The path you will be walking is the old towpath, and the canal will be clearly visible on your right. We recommend parking at the Historic Forks of the Wasbash park and enjoy the 1/2 mile hike to the cache from the east. If you begin at this location there are three more caches easily accessible from this point. The cache can be reached from Rangeline Road but it is not recommended due vihicle trafic on the bridge and US 24, and due to the bushwacking required to reach the cache. Watch your step along the path as there are quite a few holes. The coordinates will take you to sign-post #6, the cache is located 40 feet ESE.
