How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A series of caches on a very pretty walk. They are all based around a well-known visual puzzle/game. The coordinates were supposed to be for a convenient parking spot but I mistyped the Northing by 0.1 minutes (see the others in this series).

The way the puzzle works is explained with pictures in a PDF file. To get this file click the following link:

Puzzle Explanation

The second puzzle in the series is fairly straightforward. Use 8 different tiles to make a red loop with the edge colours in clockwise order as follows

BYYB | Y | BB | BBYY | YBB | YB | BYY | BYB

In the order above, the tiles used can be denoted ABCDEFGH.

Identify A-H by finding out which tiles are used, in which order, to make the loop.

The cache is hidden at:

N 51 13.(F-A)B(G-E)
W 000 23.(D-A)H(H-C)

Enjoy the walk and the puzzles! It can be muddy in winter.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.
