Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches in and around the town of Wallingford. The well known crime writer Agatha Christie owned a house in the town and spent her later years there. All the caches in this series are named after her books or stories in them.

In order to find the cache you will need to walk around the lovely village of Warborough which has a magnificent green with a good pub, gathering information from some of the many plaques that recall village life.

The above coordinates are for the suggested parking place, but you may find others. Please have a good look round this fascinating village - the clues will help!

At the first waypoint there is a plaque dedicated to someone who cared for the village - A is the last number of the year the plaque was planted.

Follow the public footpath sign then exit the graveyard the back way...!

At the second waypoint there is a good view across the green - this might have been lost were it not for Rev White. The wording on his plaque suggested the title of this cache. B is the sum of the digits of the year on that plaque.

Past the lovely pub and the war memorial to find another plaque remembering someone key to the village. This person lived through a number of different decades - the answer is C.

To the Church now and you need to find the date on the tower. You'll get D by adding together all the digits then subtracting 3

Now a bit further to walk, north towards the memorial hall, till you reach the village pump. Nearby is a seat with quite a scary combination of names perhaps! E is the number of years that Olive and John lived here (the answer is divisible by 6)

The cache is located at N51 38 XY 001 08 Z

Where X = 2A; Y = (B – 5) x C; Z = (D x E) + 5

If you have small children they will be pleased that you're passing the village playground - and if you need to sit down there's a seat near to the cache!

The cache is a screwtop container with a range of goodies!
