Geocache Description:

Long Beach hired its first lifeguard in 1906, as part of the police department. Starting in 1918, Dutch & Vic Miller were hired and quickly played prominent roles in the development of the Guards up into the 1960's. The Lifeguard Museum was established in 1988, with memorabilia, photos & equipment. According to one realtor's website, the Museum is open one Saturday a month, although this is posted nowhere on the building. Nor is there any entrance except for one small door reading "Employees only".

The cache is not in the bushes. It is also unlikely to be where you will look next, but go ahead anyway... Original contents include a John Adams dollar, travel bug #566186, bubbles, fake teeth (clean), an OC Weekly keychain and a soccer bouncy ball.

During the Termino drain construction, the cache is still accessible - you may enter the Marine Stadium off of Appian Way at La Verne...
