Geocache Description:

Just east off the road into Eagle Lake as you crest the summit. There is a dirt road that takes off at the summit, plenty of parking. Snakes are always a possibility in this area so be cautious. (I've never seen one but have been told they're around).

A small container with log book and small trade items. A TJ golden $1 coin for FTF. Many years ago, my siblings and I vied for the opportunity to be the first to say "I see Eagle Lake" as we crested this summit. My own children, now grown, continue the tradition and hopefully one day I will have grandchildren to do the same. Eagle Lake is a very special place for families and one of the best kept secrets in northern California. I hope you're planning to stay a few days and really soak it all in. There are several other caches around the lake to make the trip "geo"worthwhile!
