South Cerney - Spring Lake Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

RoobyDoo: Checked on cache today.
Sadly it has been muggled.
I've decided to archive the cache, as this area has become much busier since it was first placed, and the location is obviously compromised now.
It has lasted nearly 12 years, so time for it to be put to bed.
Thanks to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

This cache, part of the South Cerney Series, is placed along the old M&SWJR railway line. It is quite close to Spring Lake. Water skiers can fly by only a few feet away, but you won't be spotted!
It has been placed especially to coincide with my Cerney Wick 2008 Event, and provides a lovely walk from South Cerney.
If you haven't done my South Cerney Secrete cache (GC1CAAA), that would be a good cache to kick this series off, so suggested parking is in the High Street.
Taking in the Secrete cache and further caches in this series could allow you to take a circular walk of around 3.5 miles, however be warned, the return stretch along Wildmoorway Lane is quite often flooded (apparently even in 'summer' months, so if you intend doing the circuit, it may be advisable to wear wellies.
Alternative, closer parking can be found at N 51° 40.358 W 001° 55.190 , however please be mindful of residents.
Alternatively, the South Cerney caches can all be accessed via public footpaths from Cerney Wick. Please refer to OS maps if you wish to do this.
