Geocache Description:

** THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!! ** The coordinated
are for WP1. This is a 2 stage multi with a Micro at the final,
which happens to be at the former "set" for the City Dump.

On August 17th, 2008 a statute was unveiled and dedicated to two of the most beloved and cherished people in Seattle's history, JP Patches and Gertrude. As a true Patches Pal, I feel obligated to also dedicate a cache in their honor. The JP Patches show ran for 23 years from 1958 to 1981 and when it left the air in 1981, it was the longest running, locally produced children's program in the country. As Mayor of the City Dump, JP brought smiles to countless children every morning. Fellow
Patches Pals came together and had this statute made to show thanks for all the happy memories and to pass along some of the magic to future generations; their names and messages, including mine, surround the statute. When you're finished with WP 1, you can view what is left of the City Dump one block east at the History House of Greater Seattle on your way to the Fremont Troll. To find more about JP Patches and Gertrude visit (visit link) and you can visit the History House at www.historyhouse.org

While at WP1 stand facing the ICU2TV with your back to JP and Gertrude. Look down at the bricks and imagine them as a grid with columns across the top and rows down the side. Find the row and count across the columns to find the correct brick that is described with the 10th brick = zero.

Count the larger bricks as if there were smaller ones in their place.

Locate the 11th row down and find the brick that says "A Lifetime of Memories, The Engle Kids." Let that digit =A

Locate the 33rd row down and find the brick that says "JP Forever in my Mind & Heart. TY for the Memories." Let that digit =B

Locate row 14 and find the brick that says "Thanks for all the Love." Let that digit =C

Locate row 17 and find the brick that says "Funny Guy since Day 1! Your Big Brother." Let that digit =D

Locate row 16 and find the brick that says "Greg Swanson, Look in the Dryer." Let that digit =E

Locate row 13 and find the brick that says "You have a Red Nose! Let that digit =F

The Final Is At N47 38.ABC W122 21.DEF

The checksum for A + B + C + D + E + F = 24

Congratulations to Fish Soup for the FTF
