Geocache Description:

Located within an area of Eastwood is the little known secluded region of the Brush Farm Rainforest. It is adjacent to Brush Farm House which, is one of Australia's oldest houses from the Macquarie period.

Gregory Blaxland devoted much of his time to Brush Farm for early agricultural experimentation.Although gaining more recognition for crossing the Blue Mountains,Blaxland's greatest international recognition arose through his attempts at viticulture.Blaxland died by his own hand and was buried in All Saints Cemetery,Parramatta. Brush Farm House still stands today with its two storey cast iron verandah, internal timber joinery in staircases, ceilings and cornices.
The rainforest is alive with wildlife and on your trek you could see frogs, butterflies, geckos, possums and much more.

There are four possible entry points to find the cache and all involve a tranquil trek through the rainforest. The cache is a 2 litre container hidden into its surroundings. It contains a log book and pen within a zip-lock bag plus a swag of goodies. Please replace the cache exactly how you found it and please re-create the scene.Thank you and enjoy your trek around the rainforest.
