White Chapel #3-Big Guy Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sapience Trek: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A small cache hidden in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
I have always driven by this place but have never been in it before. Today I decided to take a look around. It is absolutely beautiful in here, and today there is evidence of a lot of Spring planting (so watch your feet!)

Please be respectful of the hours this cache is available.
May 1-Sept 30 8am-8pm
Oct 1-April 30 8am-5pm

As near as I can tell there is one way in and one way out...a very heavy gate that looks like it gets used and is not meant to budge. You will get stuck in here if you are in too late. Also PLEASE don't be foolish and try to climb the fence. I have seen pictures of deer that have tried to jump it. :(

Folks who know me know I don't like to put my hand into places where animals may still be living. THAT said, you will not need to stick your hand in any holes. The cache should be fairly obvious.

Cache is a small container with a logbook and pencil stub, but you should always BYOP just in case! Also a few trade items.
Have fun!

Returned with friends to find/perform maintenance on a few of the White Chapel caches, and found the letterbox that I somehow managed to miss when I hid this. I will look into locating another tree nearby worthy of carrying the Big Guy name! But until then, if you find this cache, mine is the round one and the letterbox is square. Letterboxing is a lot of fun and I enjoy hunting them myself. So out of respect for the letterboxers, if you are going to "sign" the logbook, remember that the hider put a LOT of work into creating a handmade logbook and stamp. Please don't sign your geo-nick to the logbook, use a stamp...create one, buy one, fake it (I use a thumb print and draw ears, eyes, whiskers and paws on it). But to just sign your name is a bit of a slap in the face to someone who put so much time in their hide
