Geocache Description:

Morning meet and greet to try and beat the heat

Date: June 6, 2008
Starting time: 8:30am
What: Meet and greet
Location: Tortugas "A" Mountain east parking area (it won't just be on any mountain)


  • Summary:
    It's about time for Las Cruces to have another event. No caching competition here, just a simple meet and greet, if I don't get carried away with anything before the event even starts (nothing quite like last year's 9-cache event, but maybe one or two new caches)

  • Directions
    Meet around 8:30 on the east side of "A" Mountain. To get there, take University Avenue (I-25 exit 1). Keep driving as the road wraps around to the backside of the mountain. Look for a brown BLM sign marking the turn-off on the right (south). It's hard to see, but you should be able to see the shelter where the tables will be set up for the event.

    Note: You will need to bring your own chairs.
