Chaffinch Island Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MrsSherlockHolmes: Not sure it was the hurricane that did this one in, more likely muggles. I will archive it though, because i don't have much time for caching and somebody else might want to use this area.

Geocache Description:

This small cammoed magnetic replaces our two-stage multi.

Due to heavy overgrowth of poison ivy in virtually the whole
park, we wanted to change the hide, to make sure that people
wouldn't be searching anywhere near P.I. That proved a difficult
task, so we decided to re-use the hide, we had created for a town
wide event. This means, that for some, it will be a very easy find
! Please use stealth !

Chaffinch Island Park is one of the most beautiful places in
Guilford, and we want people to come and enjoy it. It is surrounded
by water on three sides, and has a great view of Long Island sound
and Faulkner’s Island Lighthouse. On a clear day you can see all
the way to Long Island. There are many different birds here and an
osprey’s nest just across the mouth of the West River. There are
picnic benches and a couple of barbecues (bring you own charcoal)
Even a small port-a-potty for the needy ! The park is open is from
dusk to dawn and there is a decent size parking area.

Congratulations to The Hekawi Tribe on the FTF !
