It turns out there was nothing out there. Just a big flat rock with no views, but now sporting a snazzy rock pile. On the way back to the trail I decided to try to find a suitable place for the ammo can I had lugged up here and decided to head for this area. The terrain lines seemed to indicate a spot where there might be rocks and I wasn't disappointed. A nice big viewing platform and some towering granite boulders to hide a cache under.
You have two routes available to get here. You could bush bash up from the valley below, about 3.5km return and NOT recommended. Or you could take the trail up from the trail head coordinates, in which case you'll have 9km walk, but will only have to bush bash about 800 metres out and back. If you elect the latter route then stick near, but above the 1,300 metre terrain line and you will be rewarded by plenty of granite tors between where the trail ends and GZ.
