Geocache Description:

Cache point is near Iriya Sta.

Cache is hidden near the monument of "the cradle of Iriya morning-glory".
Cache size is small,but please bring a writting pen.

Morning-glorys(Ipomoea nils) here became popular from the end of Edo era to the Taishou era period.

And there is famous temple(Shingenji) called Iriya Kisimojin.
The morning-glory festival(sales) is opened in the Star Festival in the vicinity.

入谷駅が最寄り駅となります。

スモールですが、筆記用具持参にてお願いします。

ここの近くに入谷朝顔発祥の碑があります。
江戸末期から大正期まで、こちらの朝顔は流行を生みました。
「おそれ入谷の鬼子母神」の真源寺も近くにあり、界隈で七夕前後に入谷朝顔市が開かれています。
（朝顔市自体は昭和期に復活したものです）
