Head to the beach and take a right. Not accessible during high tide, but low tide is not required. .5'ish mile hike from parking to cache. When replacing, please ensure the hide is tucked back into it's hiding spot, so as not to be visible to any muggles.
The Pirate’s Watering Hole at Maple Hollow
This 58 acre park be once land owned an' plundered by th' WA Department o' Natural Resources. In th' budget voyage o' th' Jolly Roger (that’s 2007 t' them non-buccanneers in th' geocachin' bunch), th' land be transferred t' th' Key Peninsula Metro Parks District fer a half century lease under th' Trust fer Public Lands transfer program. The sign at th' gangplank dates aft before th' purchase. 'Tis open fer visitors! Nay treasure fer campin', parkin', or services, but brin' yourselves on in an' feel free t' keel haul th' trails an' beach!
This park be a true feather in th' community’s tri-corn cap. Th' trails be filled wi' a naturalist’s booty. Trillium, salal, birds, bear, an' enormous evidence o' old growth British Navy generals cut down at the'r prime. Take time on this jaunt t' appreciate th' interpretive signs an' th' hidden bountiful booty found around ever' turn in th' path. All well defined trails lead t' th' beach (an'/or) aft t' th' land yacht’s moorin', so fear nay about th' adventure ahead o' ye.
Should th' lost sea dog`s spirit move ye, be sure t' ponder o'er th' included waypoints! Follow th' path down t' Davy Jones’ locker an' head t' th' port an' keel haul till ye weigh anchor approximately 500 feet ahead. Ye boots will fill`eth o'er unless thy tide be ou' a bit. Look fer th' fresh water 'in 'hole t' th' starboard between a big alder an' e'en bigger maple. Avast fer a spot o' grog an' head up th' hill towards th' loot. Don’t go t' th' crow’s nest. Jus' high enough t' let th' sea dog spirit move ye t' look around an' find th' booty starboard thar before yer one good eye.
Should muggles be around, give nay quarter. Don’t forget t' log yer cache an' replace any doubloon taken wi' somethin' th' same or better. Don’t an' ye’ll kiss th' gunner’s lass. Dead men tell nay tales as nay parlay takes precedent here!
