Country Park off the A258 Deal to Sandwich road
Once again
Fowlmead Country Park, who actively supports geocaching, is having,
amongst other activities, another introduction to geocaching day
this year. Like last year they have asked us if we would like to
come along and introduce our geocaching activity to others and be
available answer questions to potential new cachers. A selection of
‘demo’ caches will be placed out for new comers to try
so not to disturb the real caches in the area. As tope rope
ian’s event here last year was so very well attended, and Ian
has kindly offered to bring along his excellent display again, we
have taken up the Parks offer and invite you all to pop along.
It’s an all day Meet, so pop by as and when to say hi and
sign the Log Book. As last year attendee’s will know, there
are plenty of activities to do here on the day to keep you
busy.
We have a
number of GPS units for us to use for the demo’s, but what we
now need is for a few of YOU who do pop along to give a little bit
of your time during the day to show potential geocacher’s the
fun activity of geocaching. If you feel you could give a little of
your time during the event then please contact
MeerRescue.
Entry to
the park is free to walkers and cyclists, but those arriving in
cars will find an ‘All Day’ Pay & Display fee of
£3.00. Dogs permitted but to remain on a lead at all
times.
