This cache is located in a rock shelter that will provide a great
place for a rest stop to get out of the winds between Ptarmigan
Peak and Horseshoe Peak.
Ptarmigan Peak (which has another cache) can be reached easily
by hike NE from Weston Pass (take highway five from the 285 near
Fairplay to get to Weston Pass). The road from this side of Weston
pass does not currently require a high clearance or a 4x4
vehicle.
This cache is located under some rocks and is visible from the
inside of the obvious rock shelter if viewed at the right angle.
Please replace the cache so that plenty of rocks on are on it but
so it can still be seen.
