Geocache Description:

The Otford hills are steeped in history from Wood Cutters, Charcoal Burners to Smugglers all of who used to roam around up in the Otford hill.
So to find a location for the Kent cachers November meet, where better than an old pub that was once Four Wood Cutters cottages.
The Fox & Hounds has been the focal point of the Romney Street Area for over 400 years.
The main bar area has been opened up to make a much more inviting area with the open fireplace making the winters snug and cosy. There is also free wi-fi available. and there is food is available.
Families, Children and Dogs are very welcome, even the muddy Geocachers.(just leave your boots in the porch)

The Kent County Cachers Monthly November event cache meet will be held at the:~
Fox and Hounds Pub, Romney Street, Knatts Valley, Near Otford, Sevenoaks, Kent. TN15 6XR.
www.foxnhounds.co.uk
On Saturday 20th November 2010
at 12noon - 4pm
Hope you can all come and enjoy a good chinwag with other Cachers old and new over a good pint or two or you may prefer to have a meal.
There is plenty of parking in front and behind the pub in their car parks.
Satellite co-ords for the Fox And Hounds pub are
N 51’19.845
E 000’13.445

For the brave Cachers amongst you, the pub is half way around my series of 14 traditional caches + the mystery bonus cache called
The Otford Hills Hike (cache #1 GC2F2XE)
If you fancy doing this before and after the event parking is at
N 51’ 19.043
E 000’ 12.833
It’s a 4 mile walk so allow plenty of time
Well that’s it all you need to know, all that’s left to say is see you all at the pub
There’s a drink waiting from me for the FTF
HAPPY CACHING
PHIL (philatryewood)
