Geocache Description:

Parking is at Pershore Bridges Picnic Site
N 52.06.222
W 002.04.227

This is the start of an approximately 3 mile walk, taking in 7 caches. Very flat and following lanes and public footpaths with some stiles and could be muddy at times

I decided to set this series of caches as I grew up in Wick and spent many hours around these lanes and fields

The small parish of Wick was originally part of the much larger one of St Andrew, Pershore. Its name is derived from the Saxon word meaning “a bend in the river”

At the heart of Wick is St. Mary’s Church which dates back to the 12th century and is the oldest surviving building in the village. Originally only a chapel of ease without right to burial, bodies had to be carried to the Abbey in Pershore.

There are other caches in this area

Can be mucky at times due to sheep in field

Congratulations to tarmacjohn on FTF
