Geocache Description:

This is the twentieth cache in my finite mathematical series. I am a math teacher by day. I thought a cache series dedicated to math would be a good way to educate the public.

Statistics is the branch of mathematics that deals with data collection, analysis, and interpretation. It is probably the branch the average person sees and uses the most day to day. Statistics can be used to solve great problems, and misused to mislead the public.

When I think of stats, I think of baseball. Baseball had a small statistical revolution over the past decade or so where clubs are using stats to better set their line ups, evaluate pitchers, and even design their new ballparks. Hardcore baseball fans keep their own game stats during the game and memorize tons of data on their favorite team and players.

This cache is hidden in Seven Oaks Park near one of the many baseball fields. You are looking for a medium lock-n-lock style container. The cache is stocked with Silly Bands. If you have a kid with you (or are a kid) feel free to take one without trading for anything. Just let me know when to restock.
