Geocache Description:

This is another in the H.C.C. series. Intended to bring people to interesting cemeteries throughout the county.

Even though this is now a park, lets respect our ancestors and no NIGHT CACHING Please.

The Memorial Cairn in Blyth is made of fieldstones and fourteen old, though well preserved tombstones embedded in cement.

The cain was "Erected to the Memory of the Pioneers By the Horticultural Society in 1951."Lucius McConnell, donated the land on which the new church would be built. The new Canadian Presbyterian Church was erected on Dinsley St., adjacent to a preexisting cemetery, and opened in 1858. Today the Horticultural Park exists on this site.
