Framski potok je zašciten hidrološki naravni
spomenik. Izvira v dveh krakih - pod planinskim domom Zarja (na
višini 1050 m) in pri Kagerjevem domu (na višini 1080
m). Celoten tok Framskega potoka, ki je dolg 26 km, je v
metamorfnih kamninah. Kmalu po svojem izviru, le 170 m nižje
pada v 12 m visokem slapu. Framski slap (tudi slap Skalce) sodi med
slapove pahljacastega tipa in je kljub slabemu pretoku vode vreden
ogleda. Potok tece v naravnem okolju vse do nižine - do
naselja Fram. Nekdaj so potok izkorišcali v gospodarske
namene. Mocno razvito je bilo mlinarstvo, žagarstvo in
oljarstvo, ki je dajalo znacilnost kraju.
Do vznožja slapa vodi lepo urejena krožna potka, tako da
je pogled na vodno pahljaco omogocen vsakomur, ki se je voljan
podati na kratek sprehod. Od ceste do brvi je le 10 min.

The Fram Brook is a protected
hydrological natural monument. It rises in two places – under
mountain hut Zarja (altitude of 1050 metres) and by the mountain
hut Kagerjev Dom (altitude of 1080 metres). Its stream is 26
kilometres long and flows down the metamorphic crockery. It forms a
12-metre-high waterfall just 170 metres after its source. The Fram
Waterfall a.k.a. the Skalce Waterfall, which belongs in a group of
fan waterfalls, is despite its weak flow worth seeing. The brook
flows in the natural environment all the way to the lowland –
the village Fram. The brook was used in the past for the industrial
purposes such as milling industry, sawing and pumpkin oil industry
which were typical of Fram.
A nice circular path leads to the
foot of the waterfall and it takes just ten minutes of walking from
the road to the foot bridge under the waterfall.
