Geocache Description:

This cache was placed as part of the 2011 Rain Snow or Shine Cache Dash.

Welcome to the Blazing Star Trail. This is a beautiful trail system that goes along Albert Lea Lake, and runs east through Myre Big Island State Park and on to Hayward. The plan is for it to eventually run all the way to Austin and beyond.

Take some time to walk the trails and enjoy the scenery and wild life. Thanks to the efforts of the Shell Rock River Watershed board and many others, including the tax payers of Albert Lea, the lake and shoreline have become much more beautiful over the last few years.

There is no need to disturb the plants or flowers around the sign while looking for this cache.
