thebedfords: Had intended to do a check on this one given the recent DNFs and so the recent Found log gave me hope it was still there. Sadly, that found log is a DNF in disguise so I popped out today to check this out and got a DNF too. GZ has changed since the original cache was placed and there isn't really a good place to put a replacement, so I've decided to archive this one for now. Thanks for all the visits and for some of the fun logs on this one with tales of scrambling and the surprise piece of special equipment (that I didn't place by the way, it was already there!) [:)]

Geocache Description:

A short series of 9 caches created between Alvechurch to Barnt Green. You are looking for a camo'ed bison. You will need a pen in order to sign the log.

A series of 9 caches along the Worcester - Birmingham Canal, between Alvechurch and Barnt Green. Most of the caches are nice, straightforward hides and good for all cachers including geo-kids, but we've thrown in a couple for those who like a bit more of a hunt!

Parking is available at several points along the way, particularly near the Marina in Alvechurch or off Withybed Lane in Alvechurch.

The terrain is relatively flat as you would expect from a canal towpath, but it not particularly level or smooth. It is possible to ride a bike along the path in the drier months, but the ride will be bumpy in places and the path does narrow quite considerably.

In the winter months expect to get muddy - boots or wellies are recommended.

As always, take care with geokids along the way.
