Ysgyryd Fach sits in the shadow of it's big brother (figuratively speaking) and is often overlooked by the walker. I have therefore placed this cache here to encourage a few more visitors. Up until a few years ago the hill was pleasant enough in it's own right, being completely wooded and quiet. However it was then subjected to a fairly comprehensive felling of trees, especially over and around it's highest point (at approximately 270 metres), the result being that the top is now rather bare-looking BUT it now affords rather splendid views at virtually all angles, with the Skirrid to the north, the Graig to the northeast, Blorenge westwards, the Black Mountains (including Sugar Loaf) north and northwestwards, Wentwood forest southwards and everything else lower-lying inbetween!
The cache itself is not far from the top, just off of the public footpath and has great views down onto Abergavenny. You're looking for a small tub.
Congratulations to gemmaprosniewska for her first FTF - and on the 29th of February too!
