Geocache Description:

This is a hydro cache - DO NOT ATTEMPT FROM THE ROAD. There is no place to park along the road. Bring your own pen. The cache is an easy find once you get there.

You cannot get to this cache in a regular boat because you will not get under the bridge. The channel must be deep because there are some pretty big boats all the way to the bridge. So perhaps you can bring your larger boat with a kayak or dinghy for the rest of the way. I am not an authority on how deep Mill Creek is and I am certainly not an authority on boats so use your own judgement. Use the boat ramp just past the Naval Academy golf course. No military ID required. Make a day of it and hike to the other caches on Greenbury point too and be sure to enjoy our other hydro cache - Mill Creek Overhang. It took us about 45 minutes of steady paddling one way. But bring your camera and fishing rod and enjoy the day. You will pass a crab place on your way to the cache so if you're hungry just pull up, dock your boat, and get something to eat. In case you need it I noticed they sell gas too.
