Geocache Description:

Come on out and find this cache I hid to commemorate Green Eyed Dragonfly's 1000th cache find.

Green Eyed Dragonfly is my caching buddy and my girlfriend. She signed up for caching before she even really knew what it was. A few months later while wishing me Happy Birthday on facebook we started talking about geocaching and she said she had signed up and didn't know what to do. We arranged to get together and go caching... A few months after that we started dating. When I got a job in Ohio she decided to drop everything and come with me. Back in Western and Central New York State there is a tradition that when you reach 1000 finds one of your caching friends goes out and hides a "Golden Ammo Can". This is a cache for everyone to find, usually with 2 FTF's because the honoree generally gets a heads up on the coords so they get to find it first. I have hidden 1 other "GAC" if you are ever in Rochester NY for a couple days check it out... That cache could take almost a full day for out of towners, but you can get over a dozen other caches in the process too. But back to the cache at hand. Generally the cans are painted gold on the outside and hidden in very simple traditional manners. I think thats boring and asking to be muggled. I paint my GAC's gold on the inside, it makes them easier to hide, the outside is cammoed but clearly labelled as a geocache. I know that the local tradition is to place "class of " kinds of caches to celebrate lots of cachers who reached a milestone. I don't want to step on any toes with this one but I wanted to bring a little piece of home out to Ohio.

This is a typical 2 stage multi. Please park only in the designated areas and DO NOT drive up to the cache location it looks like you can but please do not. This park almost never has anyone in it and the walk will be much longer in the winter. Please obey the posted park hours.
