Geocache Description:

A quick roadside park and grab. As this is near a school please beware of muggles and pick an appropriate time. Access is from the street side.

In November 2011, during one of the infamous Highveld thunderstorms this impressive Bluegum tree was struck by lightning. It fell across the road and through the fence of the house opposite. It also destroyed the electric transformer, leaving surrounding residents without power for days. Eventually the road was cleared but it was some time before the fence was repaired, due to arguments over who was responsible for not keeping the tree cut...
