2021 Update: It may have been a good idea to put a container in the bamboo for the initial cache, and the bamboo serves as a good landmark. Now, however, the dead and dry bamboo overhanging the creek bank serves as punji sticks that effectively repels boaters. Take a look on the opposite bank for the new bamboo-free cache area.
Initial description: Ever since I went on the water with Team Flex, I learned to bring some caches not only to replace any, but also to HIDE some as well. So keeping that lesson firmly planted in my brain and to pass that on to my other YAKers... bring some to replace (hopefully you won't have to) and bring some to hide.
As I was paddling I saw this and could not remember if I have seen bamboo out here before?.. So why not and now you will too.
