"In the mid-1800s, Isaac Chippindale, who lived at Windmill Farm, started the Scholes Brick and Tile Works on Wood Lane, on the border with Scholes. The company's quarry produced high quality bricks which were used to build many houses in the surrounding area. Its kilns and house were demolished in the early 1980s, leaving two small fishing lakes, but the site is still known as "Chippies Quarry"
- Thanks to Bakukider for kindly allowing me to move some of his caches to facilitate this trail. Be sure to pick up his 'Health Trail' caches and 'Those who jump off a bridge....' while you are in the area
- This walk is short (about 2 miles in total) and the terrain varies from cache to cache.
- If you intend to complete this as a trail, you will need to bring something with you for #5 - Fill it 'O' Fish
- Tweezers might be helpful to have in your caching arsenal (But not essential)
- Please take care with all caches and return them how you found them.
- This trail is an ideal CITO location, too many careless folk about :(
About this cache
This one is a little more difficult, as such the bonus co-ords are repeated somewhere else on this trail. Please be careful when attempting this cache as we accept no liability for any injury that occurs while attempting (you accept these terms by attempting to log). Mercifully, the cache will 'come to you' IF you can get close enough
From 'Finding Nemo' walk back through the wooded area with the water on your left OR exit the wooded area to the right and continue down the same path. When you get to the main path turn right if coming from the wooded area and left if approaching from the field - head down the semi-steep slope and brace yourself! This will be very difficult when the ground is wet/slippy. Good luck
Just for Fun; let's 'sea' how many aquatic based puns you can 'clam' into your logs
