Records of Methodists meeting in East Bridgford begin in 1803 in the barn where now stands 5 College Street which was built as a Chapel in 1836 and sold for use as a Boy's Brigade Hall.
The Chapel in Main Street was built 156 years ago in 1854 and, following the Methodist Union in 1932, became the chosen place for Methodist worship in the village. Alterations were carried out in 1973 and in 2000 to improve the facilities, including access and toilet for the less able, to provide a fitting place for worship and community activities.
The chapel is one of eighteen similar meeting places in the Grantham and Vale of Belvoir Methodist Circuit 22/15 within the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Methodist District.
The co-ords will take you to the church. Parking can be found around the village. There is a car-park across the road. There are plenty of houses around the church, so please do not block any entrances.
