LITTLE BRIDGES #928 BEAUFORT LEAP. Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

BS16 Power Rangers: As I've not long come out of hospital and I am unable to remove this cache to place it elsewhere, sadly I have no choice but to archive this Little Bridge, due to dishonourable people making the area thoroughly undesirable and unsafe, for cachers to be searching here. It was previously a pretty, quiet spot.
Thank you to all previous finders who enjoyed this Multicache and to derekcache for making me aware of the recent problem here.

Geocache Description:

This is the 6th in our Leap Valley Little Bridges Series. This is a multi-cache, with a small amount of fact-gathering to be done at the bridge itself. The above given co-ordinate is for the bridge.
Find the answers to following facts, to use in the final cache calculations:

A. Take the number on the lamp-post by the bridge and halve it.
B. How many pointed green uprights on the nearby gate?
C. Count the number of letters in the generic name for the material the bridge sides are made from?
D. How many vertical uprights on one side of the bridge?
E. How many horizontal rails on one side of the bridge? (Don't count sections).
F. How many padlocks on the green gate?
G. How many railed fences can you see opposite the bridge, sloping up the track? (Don't count sections).

Answers checksum = 26

Substitute your numbered answers for the letters, to calculate the final cache co-ordinate:

N51 (D-F) (B+E) . (A+E) (D-E) (B-(G+D)))

W002 (C-D) (A+E) . (C-E) (D+F) (B+G+F)

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.
