Geocache Description:

The cache isn't at the posted coordinates, but a rather nice village is.

To work out the location of the cache you'll need to work out this rather appropriate puzzle.

There are 3 green frogs and 3 red frogs along with 7 lily pads in a pond. You will need to work out how to get the 3 green frogs and the 3 red frogs to swap places in as few moves as possible.

The frogs can only slide onto an adjacent lily pad or hop over one frog.  The frogs must move onto a vacant lily pad, and at no point can two frogs share a lily pad. Only one frog can move at a time.

With the rules out the way, how many moves does it take to swap all the frogs? = AB

Now try again, with 4 green frogs, 4 red frogs and 9 lilly pads. How many moves to swap all the frogs? = CD

Finally, how about 5 green frogs, 5 red frogs and 11 lilly pads.  How many moves to swap all the frogs? = EF

The final coordinates are N 50 41.C(B+D)(D+F), W 003 24.(A+D)(B-A)(A+E)

The cache is situated along a public footpath, at the bridge, which is over a small tributary which runs off the nearby pond.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.
