The village of Bradfield is located approximately 3 miles east of the town of Manningtree. The village church is dedicated to Saint Lawrence and one of the stained glass windows commemorates Edwin Harris Dunnings who was the first RAF pilot to land an aeroplane on the deck of a moving ship during WW1. He is now buried in the churchyard there
It is well worth considering doing the multi-cache around this church yard whilst you're visiting Bradfield
You are looking for a Biston cache, located close to the traditional village sign for Bradfield
If anybody would like to expand the Village Sign Series, please do. I would ask that you request a number for your cache first by filling in the new request form on the Village Sign Series website villagesignseries.co.uk https://www.villagesignseries.co.uk so we can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
