This is a wonderful ~9.5 mile day hike through some badlands and rolling hills to a very cool and lonely feature. There's so much interesting geology to see along the way, and the views are well worth the hike alone.
I've included a waypoint for parking. The parking area is on the east side of the road. You'll go through a yellow cattle guard and park along the side. From the parking area, hike SOUTH along the powerlines until you intersect a very large and wide arroyo/wash. At this arroyo you will turn west and start hiking up into the arroyo. You'll follow this for a while, but the trail eventually climbs out of the arroyo and up onto a ridge. I've included a waypoint for that climb out. From there on it's some moderate hiking along a trail/jeep track.
Hope you all enjoy this area half as much as I did!
