Where: Glasgow Street, Millport, Great Cumbrae - Overlooking Newtown Bay from a spot close to the famous Crocodile Rock.
When: 1pm-1.30pm (bring a picnic?) on Monday the 5th of June 2017.
Who: Cachers from far and wide. Locals too, I hope. New to caching or cache events? You'll be made especially welcome.
Why: I'm collecting islands and today it's Great Cumbrae's turn. I always love exploring an island and enjoy meeting other cachers along the way. A meet is a way to help me do that.
How: The ferry from Largs looks the easiest way (I plan to bring a bike across, if I can), but other routes are possible. It's not a big island but please dress for the conditions.
What: A simple gathering of geocachers to swap caching tales and travel items, while enjoying this unusual spot and - if the weather plays ball - that view across the bay to the island. Low tide should be around 5pm (BST) so it may be possible to walk across for the cache there after this event...
